This semester (Semester Two 2014/15 Academic Year), seven Muhlenberg College students majoring in Media and Communication have the pleasure of studying at Dublin City University. While in Dublin, they are taking two modules such as Communication and Belief and Communication and Psychology, Media and Creativity. They are also enrolled in a course titled “Media Spaces taught by Dr. Elizabeth Nathanson, a professor at Muhlenberg College who is spending the semester with them at DCU. During their time in Dublin, the students also participate in internships around the city, working for Irish institutions in the media and creative industries. While on campus, the students live in apartments with other DCU students, participate in life on campus and explore Dublin. In March, they will travel as a group to London to tour media and communication institutions which include the BBC and a PR firm. This semester-long experience gives students traveling from Pennsylvania, U.S.A. a unique opportunity to spend time in a wonderful city, on a vibrant campus while continuing their education in the field of media and communication.
